Techtel has been appointed by Digicel Pacific to design and deliver a new digital television head-end platform to support the telecommunications provider’s broadcast and content delivery services across Papua New Guinea.
The project will see Techtel deliver a complete replacement of Digicel Pacific’s existing head-end infrastructure, providing a modern, scalable foundation designed to support both free-to-air and encrypted pay television services.
Under the engagement, Techtel will provide project delivery including system design, system integration, pre-configuration, factory acceptance testing and deployment support, ensuring a seamless transition to the new platform.
The project further strengthens Techtel’s experience and footprint in delivering complex broadcast and media infrastructure projects throughout Australia, New Zealand and the Pacific region.
