IHSE Supports Tencent Media Distribution at Basketball World Cup in China

IHSE has been supporting Tencent, one of the world’s leading digital media distribution companies, in the production workflow of sports broadcasts. Tencent has recently entered a long-term partnership with FIBA, the world governing body for basketball, to use its media distribution tools at all forthcoming major global basketball events. Tencent has been using the IHSE system for two weeks for live coverage of the 2019 FIBA Basketball World Championship in China.

The new broadcasting and content distribution centre built for this event in Beijing is powered by a large 288-port IHSE Draco tera KVM matrix switching system.  This facility will allow production staff to manage the complex workflows involved in distributing live games, reviews and social media content to a massive user base of over 800 million viewers.
