LiSTNR has been named Podcast Company of the Year in 2022 Radio Today Podcast Awards for the second consecutive year and congratulates its incredibly talented team who have claimed wins for Podcast of the Year, Podcast Thought Leader of the Year and Podcast Executive Producer of the Year.

Following its launch in 2021, LiSTNR has established itself as one of the leading podcast networks in Australia. With its library of Australian podcasts from some of the country’s top podcast creators, LiSTNR is fast becoming the destination for premium podcast co-creation, sales, and distribution.

LiSTNR’s Come Out Wherever You Are podcast has been awarded Podcast of the Year.

The podcast, which explores the unique complexities of each individual’s coming out experience, aims to educate and empower queer and straight people alike. Hosted by proud member of the LGBTQIA+ community, Sean Szeps, the podcast was released in June 2021, developed by LiSTNR’s Head of Factual and Drama Content Jennifer Goggin and produced by LiSTNR’s Lindsey Green.

Head of Factual and Drama, LiSTNR Original Podcasts, Jennifer Goggin has been named Podcast Thought Leader of the Year.

Goggin has been a key contributor to the growth and development of podcasting within SCA and across the industry. More recently she has been instrumental in the creation of an entirely new podcast genre for LiSTNR with the release of the audio fiction-based podcast The Younger Man, based on Zöe Foster-Blake’s bestselling rom-com novel which debuted in Spotify’s top five titles at launch and has paved the way for more audio fiction releases in the next year. Goggin is also shaping new investigative docu-series that will allow LiSTNR to push new audio initiatives to entertain and inform the growing podcast audience in Factual and Drama.

For the second consecutive year, Senior Executive Producer – LiSTNR Original Podcasts, Nic McClure has claimed Podcast Executive Producer of the Year.

McClure’s extensive 26-year career in the radio and audio industry has seen her work with some of Australia’s biggest names in entertainment. McClure has been involved with some of LiSTNR’s leading titles including, It’s A Lot with Abbie Chatfield, The Briefing, Matt & Alex All Day Breakfast, and That’s Enough Already with Urzila Carlson and is currently Executive Producer of The Jess Rowe Big Talk Show. Not just a producer, McClure is passionate about sharing her experience and endless knowledge as a teacher in collaboration with AFTRS and a mentor to incoming producers in the audio industry.

SCA Executive Head of Podcasting, Grant Tothill, said: “ To be named as the Podcast Company of the Year is credit to so many people that continue to work tirelessly on their craft in all parts of the business. For Jennifer and Nic to win their individual awards is credit to their passion and ongoing commitment to podcasting.
