Magna System’s stand at METexpo (Stand A2 from 15-17 March at the ICC Darling Harbour) will be filled with the latest, cutting-edge products and solutions across the company’s main “four pillars” of media and entertainment technology. One if their main pillars is Media Infrastructure which will include solutions from EVS MI including the Cerebrum broadcast control system along with the Neuron network attached processor, ground-breaking TAG monitoring solution, RTS IP intercoms and Blackbox IP KVM.
Magna group sales and marketing manager Paul Maroni explained, “The key focus of our Media Infrastructure offering at METexpo is the fact that all solutions are integrated and all under the control of the latest Cerebrum broadcast control system. Critically, its cutting-edge SDN, Cerebrum IP Core will control all IP flows in the Network, EVS Neuron will provide all processing and conversion and the latest TAG IP monitoring solution is there to visualise all these IP sources.”
The TAG solution alone will be probing, monitoring and displaying all IP sources, including ST-2110, TSoIP, JPEG XS, OTT and NDI as well as utilising and integrating UHD content.
Maroni added, “There will also be live demos of the Neuron Network Attached Processor, commonly referred to as the ‘modular glue’ for IP infrastructures and capable of doing all audio and video processing still required in the IP world, including for UHD content. Neuron has been built to fit in any existing and future IP broadcast infrastructure and the Neuron platform we will be demonstrating at METexpo offers the most powerful processing capabilities in the industry. Neuron can accommodate a wide range of audio and video processing needs in IP environments and bridges the gap between SDI and any type of IP media streams. It’s also the highest density ST-2110 gateway encoder on the market today.”
Intercom and talkback will be ably covered on the Magna stand by the latest RTS ODIN Digital Intercom, the RTS OMNEO Main Station and the latest RTS keypanels.
Maroni said, “ODIN is a highly scalable intercom system in a 1RU package. As your capacity needs to evolve, a single ODIN can grow from 16 ports to a maximum of 128 ports. A maximum of eight ODIN units can be interconnected via an optical Inter-Frame Link creating a single matrix with up to 1024 ports. The total number of licensed ports may be allocated freely to any port hardware type supported by the unit.”
The OMNEO Main Station (OMS) is a hybrid IP/digital/analogue main station for partyline intercom systems and the core component the RTS Digital Partyline family. Presented in a compact 1RU enclosure, OMS is a uniquely versatile and cost-effective solution capable of interconnecting both wired/wireless and IP/digital/analogue devices. Full TCP/IP connectivity is also supported.
Last but by no means least comes the award-winning Blackbox Emerald 4K KVM over IP, a Unified KVM system that delivers pixel-perfect HD or 4K video over an IP network. Emerald allows reliable extension and switching of video (DisplayPort or DVI), transparent USB 2.0 and bi-directional analogue audio signals across any combination and number of physical and virtual desktops and servers. Users can easily access both physical and virtual servers— with virtual machine support for VMware and Microsoft using PCoIP, RemoteFX and RDP 8.1. The Emerald Remote App turns any Windows 10 device into a software KVM receiver – without the need for additional hardware.
Paul Maroni concluded, “With more capabilities than other KVM solutions currently on the market, Emerald delivers superior value, lowering your costs of ownership and saving your IT investments. It forms an integral part of the Media Infrastructure area of our METexpo stand where all demo stations will be connected to the Blackbox matrix for ultimate flexibility and functionality. Overall visitors interested in our Media Infrastructure offering at METexpo will be able to enjoy a comprehensive demo of a fully integrated IP workflow, all under the control of the very latest Cerebrum broadcast control system.”
Magna will also be a key participant in the drinks and networking events held on each day of METexpo 22.
