The National Ethnic and Multicultural Broadcasters’ Council (NEMBC) is collating a history of radio stations and ethnic broadcasters in a special commemorative publication to mark 40 years of ethnic community broadcasting in Australia.
The NEMBC has hired a researcher-writer, who will be contacting stations to make sure the story of their broadcasters is told. Stations and broadcasters are also invited to get in touch directly, or submit their own histories and pictures.
Every week NEMBC members produce over 2000 hours of broadcast programming in over 100 languages.
