Sky is thrilled to let Sky customers know that they have the option to upgrade to the new Sky Box that will transform their entertainment experience.
The new Sky Box offers the best of satellite TV, On Demand and Streaming all in one place, making it easier and faster for customers to find the sport and entertainment they love.

The new Sky Box is a key part of our strategy to connect New Zealanders to the sport and entertainment they love, in ways that work for them.”

The new Sky Box combines the reliability of satellite-delivered linear TV channels with the flexibility of internet-delivered On Demand content and Streaming apps. Extensive customer research informed the development of the Box from day one. Features include the ability to watch Sky TV and stream your favourite apps all in one place, a 1 Terabyte hard drive and the ability to record up to five channels simultaneously on My Sky (a feature that rated very highly in our customer research), and an all-new voice remote.
The new Sky Box costs $200 (a one-off non-refundable fee) or customers can choose to pay an ongoing non-refundable monthly fee of $10 if they prefer.
Loyal Sky customers will be offered special discounts as part of our Sky Rewards programme, with tiered discounts based on tenure. Sky is contacting customers directly with their personal offers over the coming days, and customers can also log into their My Account now and view and redeem their discount online
“We have a special group of customers who have been with us for more than 30 years, and they will be offered the new Box at no extra cost, if they would like one.” We know that some of our customers love their Sky just the way it is which is absolutely fine, there is no need to change!
