Perth Film Studios (PFS) has announced it will open in early 2026. Supported by Screenwest’s competitive incentive program, the purpose-built screen production facility will cater to both local and international filmmakers.
Facilities will include:
- Two 20,000 sq ft and two 25,000 sq ft sound stages – purpose-built for major international and domestic productions
- 71,000 sq ft of dedicated workshop and lock-up space – ideal for set construction, props, and fabrication
- 28,500 sq ft of production office space, including private offices, meeting rooms, and collaborative workspaces
- Dedicated 5-position Hair & Make-Up suites adjacent to each sound stage
- Costume departments with ample space for fittings and storage
- 6MVA of power to site with 6 x 400a Powerlock boards in each sound stage
- 38-seat accessible screening room featuring Dolby Atmos and 4K digital projection, with global connectivity for reviews, previews, and client presentations
- 5.7-acre backlot with a clear horizon on 2 sides for exterior builds and a further 52,000 sq ft of flexible outdoor support space
PFS is being developed with the aim of becoming one of the most sustainable screen production facilities in the world, with BAFTA albert’s Studio Sustainability Standard.
