In 2020, the South Australian Film Corporation engaged independent consultants BDO to undertake a strategic review of the Adelaide Studios facilities and precinct.
As the first such review undertaken since the studios were opened in 2011, this consultative process allowed SAFC to freshly engage with key stakeholders and wider industry to gain a holistic view of the precinct and its facilities and identify opportunities for future growth.
As part of the next phase of the review, the SAFC is inviting nominations to participate in a market sounding process to seek industry concepts for the Adelaide Studios Precinct to achieve one of the core actions of our 2020-2023 Strategic Plan: “to enhance the capacity of the local sector and the state’s attractiveness as a production location, and generate funds for industry activities”.
The SAFC has engaged BDO to conduct the market sounding process.
With major productions The Tourist and Firebite currently underway in the facilities and bookings across the rest of the year, the SAFC says it is committed to ensuring the Adelaide Studios precinct and facilities continue to provide maximum benefit to local industry into the future.
