Recently, Cyclone Gabrielle impacted large parts of Aotearoa New Zealand, with the effects continuing to be felt across the country.
The Sky NZ team and New Zealand Rugby have come together to support those affected, particularly those in Te Matau-a-Māui Hawke’s Bay, Tairāwhiti Gisborne, West Auckland and Northland.
Sky and NZ Rugby have joined with New Zealand’s Super Rugby Pacific and Sky Super Rugby Aupiki clubs, as well as Moana Pasifika and the Fijian Drua, to raise money for the New Zealand Red Cross Disaster Fund.
For every point scored involving the participating teams during the opening round of Super Rugby Pacific and Sky Super Rugby Aupiki this weekend, we will jointly donate $500 to the Red Cross Disaster Fund.
Sophie Moloney Sky CEO says, “We know every player will be doing their best to score points to provide much-needed funds for the Red Cross. A converted try will be worth $3,500 and penalties worth $1,500, so we’re excited to see the impact we can all make together to support those in need.”
Fans watching can donate too, if they haven’t already done so, by tuning into Sky and contributing at redcross.org.nz/nz-disaster-fund
