Telstra to Launch ‘Studio T’

2017 will see Telstra launch a new broadcast hire studio in Sydney’s CBD. ‘Studio T’ will sit inside Telstra’s Customer Insight Centre (CIC) at 400 George Street and offer customers a fully equipped studio and control room. It will be directly connected to the Telstra Theatre, a multimedia facility that hosts audiences of up to 250 people. The Theatre’s eight-metre, ultra-high-resolution LED screen and advanced cinema quality sound system will will be aimed at every kind of media presentation or special event.

From Studio T, customers will be able to create recorded content, and deliver live content through linear and online channels using Telstra’s Digital Video Network (DVN), Global Media Network (GMN), or Ooyala live streaming. Further monitoring, management and complex production workflows can be extended through Telstra’s connectivity with Chief Entertainment and the Telstra Broadcast Operations Centre.

Telstra says the Telstra Theatre and Studio T will add new capability to the professional media solutions delivered by Telstra Broadcast Services, allowing news outlets, broadcasters and content producers to take content around Australia and across the world.
