The Brian White Scholarship is awarded to a communications or arts major, including recent graduates who aspire to a career in radio news. This prestigious programme will enable the scholarship winner to transition to a career in news reporting through practical experience.
Previous scholarship recipients have established careers in newsrooms across Australia.

You’ll make industry connections and learn about news reporting from the best in the business. Radio journalism is an exciting career path where no two days are the same.”
The Brian White Scholarship is supported by the commercial radio industry and sponsored by Commercial Radio & Audio. Finalists are chosen by news directors at commercial radio stations which are part of the ARN, Nova, SCA, and Nine Radio networks.
Finalists will be invited to participate in a one-day workshop which will be held in Sydney during September, with transport provided for interstate finalists.
The 2023 Brian White Scholarship winner will be chosen from the finalists and will receive the paid radio journalism internship.
