To mark this year’s World Kangaroo Day on 24th October, Panasonic Europe and German system integrator KST Moschkau teamed up to live stream an ex-pat group of the marsupials using Panasonic’s outdoor 4K PTZ camera, the AW-UR100.
The AW-UR100 4K Outdoor PTZ Camera delivers images in 4K/60p and is designed for adverse conditions. It is sealed to be waterproof (Protection Class IP65) and is equipped with a wiper that keeps its lens clear in all weather conditions and even a defroster that prevents the accumulation of frost, ice, and condensation. It is also designed to prevent rain, wind, and dust from causing any disruptions while using the camera.
The UR100 is equipped with three types of image stabilising systems: Optical Image Stabilisation (O.I.S.), Electronic Image Stabilisation (E.I.S.), and Pan/Tilt Image Stabilisation (D.I.S.S.). The O.I.S. and E.I.S. provide stable image capture regardless of where and how the camera is installed. D.I.S.S. reduces the risk of blurred images during pan and tilt movement. It features a 24x optical zoom lens and intelligent zoom of up to 36x to capture large spaces as well as close-up shots of hard-to-reach subjects. Its 74.1° horizontal wide-angle capability allows shooting large areas such as stadiums and music festivals even when the camera is close to the action. To adapt to any lighting condition, it’s possible to turn on ND filters to suppress overexposure during daytime filming and activate the Night Mode in dark environments, ensuring proper and stable images 24/7 whenever you need it.
It is equipped with a variety of interfaces: 12G-SDI, 3G-SDI, and also SFP+ for fibre optic when long-distance cabling is required. It also supports various IP protocols, such as high-bandwidth NDI, NDI HX, SRT, and FreeD, which can be used simultaneously with the baseband video outputs.
No kangaroos were harmed in the creation of this video, and we want to thank the kangaroos from KST Moschkau for agreeing to be the stars of the show.
