One year after the launch of its Creator Pack, Audio-Technica has released a Pro version. The Pack contains the ATH-M20X studio monitoring headphones, the AT2020USB+ cardioid condenser microphone and a boom arm.
The most significant change to last year’s pack is the upgrade to the AT2020USB+. The rugged side-address condenser USB microphone is equipped with a low-mass diaphragm hand-punched in Tokyo and custom-engineered for extended frequency response and superior transient response. The mic’s cardioid polar pattern reduces pickup of sounds from the sides and rear, improving isolation of desired sound source. With a sampling rate of 16 bit, 44.1/48 kHz the built-in analogue-to-digital converter delivers high-quality audio ideal for recording vocals and instruments. Monitoring headphones can be plugged in at the back of the microphone. The front features the control wheels for monitoring volume and mix control that blends microphone and pre-recorded audio. Each Creator Pack Pro includes a USB-B to USB-A cable, a tripod desk stand and a faux -leather pouch for easy and safe transportation.
The ATH-M20X is part of Audio-Technica’s flagship M-Series studio monitoring headphone range. The closed-back model features 40mm drivers and comes with a frequency response of 15-20,000Hz. The three-metre long cable and the 6.35 mm adapter fit into any recording environment and setup.
The Creator pack Pro also features a boom arm to ensure optimal positioning and minimise noise interference from vibrations. Using a c-clamp for a secure fit, the boom arm easily attaches to desks and other surfaces. Height and angles are adjustable during a recording session with minimal effort.
