Silvus Technologies has announced StreamScape 5, the latest firmware update for its range of tactical MIMO radios.
Available at no cost to Silvus customers, StreamScape 5 provides immediate access to system-wide performance, security, and scalability improvements:
- Improved Eigen-Beamforming and enhanced routing algorithms that provide improved signal power, throughput, and range for even large-scale Silvus mesh networks.
- FIPS 140-3 Level 2 encryption for enhanced data security, designed to meet the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) cryptographic modules operational security requirements.
- Access to new leading-edge Spectrum Dominance Low Probability of Intercept / Low Probability of Detection (LPI/LPD) and Anti-Jamming capabilities including MANET Protected Waveform (MAN-PW), MANET Power Control (MAN-PC) and integrated MANET Interference Avoidance & Cancellation (MAN-IAC). For more information on Spectrum Dominance expansive suite of LPI/LPD and Anti-Jamming capabilities click HERE.
StreamScape 5 is automatically embedded into all StreamCaster MANET radios that have shipped as of November 2023, and is natively compatible with all pre-existing StreamCaster 4000-series radios. In addition, StreamScape 5 was designed to be future-forward compatible with next generation StreamCaster MANET radios, enabling current and future users to experience seamless interoperability. Since StreamScape 5 is incompatible with prior firmware versions, users are encouraged to update their entire fleet of radios to StreamScape 5 to maintain interoperability.
