Harmonic Brings Streaming and Broadcast Innovations to BroadcastAsia 2023

At BroadcastAsia 2023, Harmonic (booth 6K2-01) will demonstrate its on-premise and SaaS solutions for video streaming and broadcast delivery. Attendees can see how Harmonic is taking video to the next level with the most advanced, scalable solutions for live sports streaming, targeted advertising, personalised channel origination, cloud playout, DVB-T2 and DVB-SIS delivery and more.

Reaching New Heights in Streaming and Broadcast

At BroadcastAsia 2023, Harmonic will highlight its VOS360 Media SaaS, VOS360 Ad and XOS advanced media processor, which enable media companies and service providers to stream live sports at scale, maximize ad revenue, benefit from cloud playout and accelerate with DVB-T2.

Delivering Addressable Advertising at Scale

A key highlight at the show will be Harmonic’s VOS360 Ad, an innovative, stand-alone, server-side ad insertion (SSAI) SaaS that is fully cloud-based, enabling targeted addressable advertising at scale for video streaming. Powered by Harmonic’s state-of-the-art, field-proven manifest manipulation technology, VOS360 Ad SaaS allows best-in-class targeted ad delivery to millions of concurrent viewers for live sports streaming as well as a host of streaming applications, including linear, VOD, FAST, IPTV and low-latency live streaming.

Automating FAST Channel Creation

At BroadcastAsia 2023, Harmonic will highlight how it has expanded its cloud playout ecosystem and automated the creation of FAST channels. Through a new technology partnership with Spideo, a leading provider of personalization and recommendation solutions, Harmonic’s VOS360 Media SaaS enables video content providers to automatically create schedules for FAST channels and offer groundbreaking personalization.

Elevating State-of-the-Art Sports Streaming

At BroadcastAsia 2023, Harmonic will also showcase how its VOS360 Media SaaS offers unparalleled live sports streaming experiences, with real-world deployment examples. Bally’s Interactive, the digital arm of one of the world’s leading entertainment providers, is using Harmonic’s VOS360 Media SaaS to deliver premium sports events with low latency and pristine video quality on the Bally Live app. In addition, MSG Networks will use Harmonic’s VOS360 SaaS to deliver individually addressable advertising for its new MSG+ sports streaming service, due to launch this summer.

Accelerating DVB-T2 and DVB-SIS Deployments

Harmonic will demonstrate how it is powering DVB-T2 and DVB-SIS broadcast deployments with its XOS software-based advanced media processing and ProStream® X video stream processor solutions. Harmonic’s solutions enable broadcast operators to deliver regional channels with greater efficiency.

Bringing Expertise to the BroadcastAsia Conference

Harmonic’s vice president, sales and video services, APAC and EMEA, Tony Berthaud, will lead a speaking session on “Bridging Technology and Broadcast Media” at the BroadcastAsia Conference. During the session, Berthaud will discuss strategies for adapting new technologies and opportunities for collaboration to drive innovation and growth. Additionally, Berthaud will provide insights on broadcast, media and entertainment in the metaverse era. The session will take place Thursday, June 8 from 11:00 to 11:20 a.m. on the BroadcastAsia Stage in Hall 6.
