Kramer Releases KDS-8 4K SDVoE AV-over-IP Transceiver

Kramer Electronics’ KDS−8 is a zero latency, AV-over-IP transceiver for distributing AV signals via Ethernet over copper cable. The KDS-8 streams up to 4K@60Hz (4:4:4) resolution signals over a 10G network interface, providing lossless compression. The KDS-8 is a fully standard and compliant SDVoE codec, and it enables compatibility with other software and hardware streaming platforms.

Kramer’s KDS−8 is a transceiver and as such can be set to be either an encoder or decoder. As an encoder, it encodes and sends the HDMI input along with IR, RS−232, and analog audio, over an IP network. As a decoder, it receives the encoded signal and decodes it for output. The KDS-8 also features an unbalanced analog audio port for embedding audio into the signal.

Kramer’s KDS-8 4K SDVoE transceiver is a perfect solution for distributing AV signals in conference rooms, meeting rooms, and classrooms. It is now in stock and available to ship at an MSRP of $2,000.
