Multi-channel audio support is now present on VersaStreamer 4K and EdgeCaster as of V7.8. At a glance, this support is for up to eight channels of audio over SDI input and up to six channels encoded for each audio track on output. Multiple tracks may be added to the resultant encode of a given output.
As of V7.8, Multicast, Unicast, SRT, RTSP, and File Recording all support Multi-channel Audio. HTTP-based outputs do not support multiple audio tracks at this time, but will in a future software version. RTMP as a protocol does not allow for multiple tracks, thus will only allow a single track (Audio profile).
