Jean Macher is Business Development Director of SaaS Solutions for Harmonic where he drives the marketing effort for next-generation video solutions in the Americas. Macher joined Harmonic as part of the acquisition of Thomson Video Networks, bringing with him more than 20 years of experience in MPEG-related solutions and digital television implementation. Macher holds a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from the Institut Supérieur d’Électronique in Paris.
Ben Lovins, Senior Vice President of the Telecommunications Division, Jackson Energy Authority
Ben Lovins is the Senior Vice President of the Telecommunications Division for Jackson Energy Authority (JEA). Ben has been directly involved with FTTH deployment and operation since the company’s entrance to the market in 2003 when it built its $70 million fiber-to-the-home system and its most recent launch of the Gigabit service upgrade to its customers. Prior to joining JEA in 2003, Ben worked for Comcast in various positions. With 33 years in the Telecommunications industry, Ben’s experience includes operational, headend engineering, product and service deployment, video programming and services contract negotiations, and additional administrative responsibilities. Ben holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Organizational Leadership and an MBA from Union University.
