Irdeto, a CANAL+ company, is showcasing its latest innovations in anti-piracy and video entertainment at IBC2026.
Marking Irdeto’s first IBC as a CANAL+ company, this year’s presence is focusing on two of the biggest priorities facing the video industry: protecting the value of premium content against increasingly sophisticated piracy and building more flexible, intelligent video platforms that can evolve with changing viewer and business needs.
At stand 1.D51 in Hall 1, Irdeto is demonstrating how a more strategic approach to anti-piracy can turn content protection from a cost into a driver of revenue and business value. By disrupting piracy more effectively, broadcasters, streaming platforms and rights holders can protect their content investments, safeguard revenues and strengthen their brand and customer relationships. Irdeto brings together intelligence, technology and enforcement capabilities across the piracy lifecycle, enabling customers to move beyond simply detecting piracy to identifying its sources, disrupting the infrastructure and business models behind it, and protecting the value of their content.
Another key technology on display will be High-Frequency Key Cycling, an advanced content protection capability designed for premium live streaming. By rotating encryption keys at much shorter intervals than traditional approaches, High-Frequency Key Cycling drastically limits pirates’ ability to capture and redistribute protected streams at scale. This enables operators to respond to credential abuse in near real time and adds a powerful layer of protection for high-value live events, where stopping piracy quickly is critical to preserving the commercial value of the content.
Irdeto is also showcasing Irdeto Experience, its modular video platform designed to empower operators to deliver better viewer experiences while simplifying the complexity of running and evolving their video services. By bringing together user experience, monetisation, data and analytics, quality of experience, security and operations, Irdeto Experience helps operators increase audience engagement, reduce churn and lower the total cost of ownership of their platforms. Its flexible approach also enables operators to outsource complexity where it makes sense, freeing them to focus their resources on the experiences, content and services that differentiate their business.
“The video industry is evolving rapidly, but two trends are becoming growing priorities for operators: delivering experiences that keep audiences engaged and protecting the content and investment that make those experiences possible,” said Axel Gallant, CEO of Irdeto. “Our first IBC as part of CANAL+ is an exciting opportunity to demonstrate how Irdeto is bringing these priorities together and staying ahead of the curve with solutions that address operators’ growing concerns. Whether it is helping customers disrupt piracy more effectively or giving operators greater visibility and flexibility across their video platforms, our focus is on solving the challenges that have a direct impact on their businesses.”
Throughout IBC2026, visitors have the opportunity to meet with Irdeto’s anti-piracy and video entertainment experts, see the latest technology in action and discuss their own content protection, platform and operational priorities.
