Visionular, a provider of AI-powered video solutions, has announced a partnership with Infratel Solutions to bring more efficient, high-quality video transcoding to DVB and OTT platforms.
Through the partnership, Visionular will provide its containerised AuroraFlex transcoder, which Infratel Solutions will integrate into video solutions for customers across its markets.
AuroraFlex is an AI-powered video transcoder designed to reduce bitrate requirements by up to 50 per cent while preserving visual quality. Its deep-learning perceptual models prioritise visually important elements such as faces, text and motion, helping video providers reduce distribution and infrastructure costs without compromising the viewing experience.
Supporting H.264/AVC and H.265/HEVC standards, AuroraFlex can be introduced as a drop-in replacement within existing video workflows. Its containerised architecture provides the flexibility to deploy the technology on-premises, within a standalone cluster or as part of a managed service.
