Vislink’s Cliq OFDM Mobile Transmitter Now Shipping

Vislink will showcase its new Cliq OFDM Mobile Transmitter, one of the smallest 4K mobile transmitters in the world, at IBC 2023 (Stand 1.C51). Capable of full 4K or transmission of two HD video services, the Cliq OFDM Mobile Transmitter provides broadcasters with an uncontended wireless video network connection to obtain unique and immersive camera views with complete freedom to roam.

With its HEVC capability, the Cliq OFDM Mobile Transmitter provides operators with the flexibility to deliver more camera views in their allocated bandwidth or wirelessly capture content over twice the distance compared to older MPEG-4 devices. What sets the Cliq apart is its ability to support twice the normal broadcast frame rates, reaching an impressive 100/120 fps. With this capability, the Cliq consistently delivers high-quality HD resolution images with minimal latency from any location — essential capabilities for tier 1 live event broadcasts.

The Cliq enables broadcasters to leverage the power of high frame rate (HFR) cameras in capturing fleeting moments and slow-motion replays for analysis. Unburdened by cables, these high frame rate cameras can now roam and follow the game or event wherever it unfolds, immersing viewers in the intensity of the moment. The Cliq’s compact size enables seamless integration with mini camera devices, including point-of-view (POV) and body-worn cameras, as well as onboard vehicles, making it a versatile tool for capturing the most captivating footage from a wide variety of operating environments.

The transmitter features four stereo pair audio streams in an exceptionally small form factor. The new transmitter is designed with the highest quality 4:2:2, 10-bit HEVC low latency encoding capability and is suitable for HDR broadcasts; LMS-T, ISDB-T, DVB-T/T2 Modulation; RS-422 and CAN camera Control system connectivity and an IP Data Pipe to bring full data connectivity to the edge to deliver features such as camera control or communications to third party devices.
