Boris FX has announced the acquisition of iZotope. Its audio production tools include RX, Ozone, Neutron and Nectar. The acquisition positions Boris FX as a unified home for professional tools spanning the full spectrum of audio and video post-production.
iZotope products anchor the world’s leading studios, post houses and broadcast facilities. RX, the industry standard in audio repair and restoration, is used on most major film and television productions. For more than 20 years, Ozone has set the gold standard for music mastering technology.

The acquisition deepens Boris FX’s established professional audio presence, which includes Samplitude and Sequoia, globally trusted digital audio workstations, as well as Sound Forge, Acid Pro, Music Studio and AI-driven CrumplePop. iZotope’s machine learning research and products make Boris FX the most comprehensive independent provider of smart audio technology for music, film, television and content creation.

The iZotope acquisition continues Boris FX’s strategy of uniting best-in-class creative technology. The coordinated transaction occurred alongside inMusic’s acquisition of Native Instruments, completed on 30 June 2026. Previously, iZotope was part of Native Instruments.
