Norway-headquartered FONN Group has acquired Qbics Media GMBH in a move to strengthen its position in the German-speaking DACH region.
The FONN Group invests in companies that deliver innovative production and journalistic tools for the media and entertainment industry. Its portfolio includes software companies Mjoll, 7Mountains, and everviz, cloud workflows expert Kunnusta, and Mediability, an equipment reseller and systems integrator in the Nordics.
As part of the acquisition, Qbics Media GMBH will be rebranded as FONN Group Dach GMBH, solidifying FONN Group’s commitment to serving customers in Germany, Switzerland, and Austria. The existing Qbics Media team, customer contracts, and intellectual property rights will seamlessly transition to FONN Group Dach GMBH, ensuring continuity to clients.
Under the leadership of Michael Schüller, FONN Group Dach GMBH will play a pivotal role in driving innovation and serving as a hub for FONN Group’s operations in the DACH region. Schüller has been appointed as the Managing Director of FONN Group Dach, and he will work closely with FONN Group’s executive team in Bergen, Norway, Singapore, and New York, USA.
