Ignacio Alonso New CEO for AEQ

AEQ has appointed Ignacio Alonso Montull as its CEO succeeding Iván Olmeda who exits the company after five years in the position. Ignacio Alonso Montull will attend the upcoming NAB Show in Las Vegas, meeting with customers as the CEO of the Spanish AV equipment manufacturer.

Ignacio Alonso has more than 25 years of experience in the Electronics and Telecommunications industry with involvement in different facets: Research and development, manufacturing, marketing, entrepreneurship, and management.

“The appointment of Ignacio is an important step for the growth of AEQ. After years of important advances at organizational and product levels, it is reassuring to initiate another period of the Company through a person with Ignacio’s profile and experience. With his entry we hope to advance in covering new challenges in audio and professional communications, making the possibilities offered by new technologies to facilitate maintenance, flexibility of resources, and remote production available to our customers,” says Miguel Sancho, President of the Board of Directors.

Since its foundation in 1979, AEQ has been a leading manufacturer, prominently positioned in the field of audio and communications equipment for broadcasting including major sporting events. With the absorption of Kroma Telecom in 2014, AEQ increased its development capacity for intercom solutions for television and AV production.
