Imagine Products, creators of software utilities for backing up, viewing, sharing, analysing, transcoding, and archiving video assets, today announced a partnership with Other World Computing. The partnership will focus on an LTO and LTFS archiving package centred around OWC’s new Thunderbolt powered LTO tape deck and Imagine Products’ LTFS software, myLTO. OWC provides hardware for the media and entertainment industry and creates products that allow their customers to focus on their creativity by trusting the technology. myLTO brings the end user and the hardware together with an easy to use interface, decades of experienced software development and the LTFS standards expected for long-term archiving.
“We’re committed to constant innovation, exemplary customer service, and American design,” said a spokesperson for OWC. “For us, it’s as much about building exceptional relationships, as it is about building exceptional products.”
With myLTO, copying media to LTO tapes doesn’t just have to happen at the end of the project. With ever increasing speeds, higher capacities and easy to use LTFS software – LTO tapes are a great alternative or addition to hard drives. Copying media to LTO tapes with myLTO provides scalable, highly reliable and secure deliverables, as well as long-term storage.
“Partnerships are so important for us. We pride ourselves on providing top-notch solutions to our customers,” said Michelle Maddox, marketing director at Imagine Products. “By working with hardware providers, we can offer our software as a complete package. OWC is a trusted, well-known hardware provider in the M + E industry and we are excited to add them to our ever-growing partner list.”
The OWC Thunderbolt powered LTO tape drive and Imagine Products’ myLTO will be available for purchase on the OWC website later this year. myLTO is currently for sale on the Imagine Products website for $299. 45 and 15 day rental licenses are also available for $100 and $50 respectively.
