Satellite communications infrastructure and services provider Av-Comm has announced that Adrian Potter is joining the company as Business Development Director. The role, based in Sydney, covers all divisions of the organisation and reports to Michael Cratt, Managing Director, and Garry Cratt, Technical Director and Founder. The appointment comes at an exciting time of growth for Av-Comm as it spearheads new markets and products across the commercial, military, and civil space sectors.
Adrian Potter said, “I’ve always admired Av-Comm’s unique, customer-focused approach to solving some of our industry’s toughest challenges and have seen the business move from strength to strength in its 40 year history. It’s what makes Av-Comm one of the most exciting telecommunications businesses in the world, and I’m thrilled to be joining the team as it embarks on its next stage of growth.”
Adrian has spent over three decades in the telecommunications, satellite and broadcast industries in a variety of roles, most recently as Deputy CTO of Kacific Broadband Satellites for Asia-Pacific, where he led the delivery of Ka band ground networks across the region. Previously Adrian was the Director of Communications Networks for the Australian Broadcasting Corporation. Over the course of his career, Adrian has been a key government and policy advisor, and has held board positions that have shaped the Australian telecommunications market.
Michael Cratt said, “I am looking forward to watching the team and the business flourish with Adrian’s energy and expansive industry knowledge. We have huge ambitions for 2022 and Adrian is just the person to support the opportunities for growth that lie ahead.”
