The Australia New Zealand Screen Association (ANZSA) has announced the appointment of Andrew Fischer as Senior Director, Advocacy and Public Policy, commencing 6 May 2026. Andrew will report to Paul Muller, Chief Executive Officer, ANZSA.

Andrew joins ANZSA with more than 15 years’ experience in public policy, advocacy and government relations across Commonwealth, state and local jurisdictions. He brings deep expertise advising ministers and senior government leaders on complex regulatory issues, with a strong track record shaping policy in consumer markets, infrastructure, energy and emerging digital platform regulation.
Most recently, Andrew served as Head of Policy and Research at the Green Building Council of Australia, where he led national government engagement and policy advocacy on behalf of a diverse membership representing more than $550 billion in market capitalisation. His career also includes senior advisory roles in the Office of the Premier of Victoria, the Victorian Government, the Commonwealth Government and the Office of a South Australian Minister.
