Legends Global has appointed Paul Doorn as the new Managing Director to support the operation of Hong Kong’s Kai Tak Sports Park Limited.
Paul Doorn was the CEO of Dunedin Venues Management Limited since late 2024. He previously served as CEO of NSW Rugby & the Waratahs, CEO of Venues NSW, managing the NSW Government’s stadium network including the Olympic Stadium, and Head of the NSW Department of Sport and Recreation.
Andrew Kam, Chief Executive Officer of KTSPL, said, “Paul’s vast experience in venue and stadium management will be beneficial as we build on our strong momentum and continue to deliver world-class events for Hong Kong.”
Opened on 1 March 2025, the Kai Tak Sports Park is already one of the top three stadiums in the world.
Hailed as the “Pearl of the Orient”, Kai Tak Sports Park has sold nearly two million tickets and hosted the Hong Kong Rugby Sevens, international concerts by Coldplay, Seventeen, Twice and Blackpink, and a wide variety of community and cultural events.
Kai Tak Sports Park was ranked number three globally in ticket sales in 2025, merely nine months after its official commissioning, and was named by TIME Magazine in the World’s Greatest Places list in 2026.
