Marc Bruce has been appointed as the new Chief Executive Officerof Encompass Digital Media. Marc will be based in Atlanta, Georgia, USA, and brings over 13 years of extensive experience within Encompass Digital Media and a strong background in media management, playout, OTT, VOD, and radio services.
Marc comes to the top job after holding the position of Managing Director, APAC & EMEA, for Encompass. In this role, he successfully integrated the management of the EMEA business with his existing responsibilities in APAC. He led a cross-functional team of over 450 staff across multiple countries and was responsible for the strategic vision of both regions. Marc played a pivotal role in consolidating the APAC and EMEA businesses, guiding relationships with key customers such as Amazon Prime, BBC, and News Corp, and driving merger and acquisition activities.
Between March 2018 and April 2022, Marc was the Managing Director for the APAC region, based in Singapore. He led the Encompass APAC team to deliver media management, playout, digital OTT & VOD, occasional use, and signal distribution services. He managed a cross-functional team of 125 staff, operating an 88,000 sq ft technical facility. Marc also led the acquisition of Babcock Media Services and managed key relationships with the Singaporean government and regulatory organisations.
Marc served as the Vice President of Commercial for the EMEA region from April 2013 to March 2018, based in London, United Kingdom. He was responsible for regional sales and account management, significantly increasing the annual recurring revenue by 200%. Marc was part of the team that acquired a facility in Riga, Latvia, and closed multiple new business contracts with a total contract value of over $100MM.
His previous positions included Director, Client Services with Encompass and Operations Manager, Ascent Media Network Services.
Marc started his career as a Transmission Supervisor at RTL Group from 2001 to May 2005 in London, United Kingdom, where he supervised the central playout transmission suite.
