GatesAir, the developer of wireless, over-the-air content delivery solutions for TV and radio, has expanded its global presence with new sales team appointments in the CALA (Caribbean and Latin America), EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa) and Asia-Pacific (APAC) regions, reinforcing its commitment to customer intimacy worldwide.

Oscar Hu has joined GatesAir’s APAC team as Regional Sales Manager, Southeast Asia, Reporting to Jacky Yee, GatesAir’s Head of Sales, APAC, Hu will focus on raising GatesAir’s visibility and market share across most of Southeast Asia (and parts of East Asia and Micronesia), including Cambodia, Indonesia, Japan, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam. Hu brings nearly 15 years of broadcast industry experience to his new position, and most recently served as Sales Manager for Digital Broadcast Asia Pacific. Oscar has spent much of his career focused on over-the-air broadcast, and has been active in DVB-T2 and DVB-S product and standards development.
Hu says he looks forward to working with regional customers and GatesAir partners, and leveraging his extensive experience in the sales and technical integration TV and FM radio transmission systems to accelerate business throughout his territory. He notes that many countries in his region continue to operate analog broadcast systems, and sees tremendous opportunity to prepare customers for future digital transitions through training and education initiatives, as well as familiarizing broadcasters with GatesAir’s broad range of digital transmission solutions.
