ViacomCBS ANZ Names Liz Baldwin Head Of Streaming

ViacomCBS Australia and New Zealand has announced the appointment of Liz Baldwin as Senior Vice President, Head of Streaming.

Liz was previously General Manager, Digital, a role she has held since February 2016 and was responsible for the company’s digital strategy including the live streaming and on demand service 10 Play.

She joined Network 10 in March 2015 as Digital Executive Producer.

In the newly created role, Liz will continue to oversee the digital business for 10 Play, but also manage the digital strategy for the new streaming service Paramount+. She will continue to lead ViacomCBS’ growing digital and streaming team.

Liz will report directly to Chief Operating and Commercial Officer and Executive Vice President of ViacomCBS Australia and New Zealand, Jarrod Villani.

Jarrod said: “Liz is one of the best and brightest digital media executives in Australia, with extensive experience in strategy, content and technology. Our digital media business has seen significant growth under Liz’s direction and leadership. She is the ideal person to lead the digital strategy for ViacomCBS in Australia and New Zealand as we continue to enhance our streaming offerings on 10 Play and soon to be launched SVOD service Paramount+.”

Beverley McGarvey, Chief Content Officer and Executive Vice President, ViacomCBS Australia and New Zealand, added: “Liz has made an important and valuable contribution to our digital strategy over the last few years and I am delighted she has agreed to lead the streaming strategy for Paramount+.”

Liz said: “I am thrilled to be adding Paramount+ to my responsibilities. I am elated to be leading an enthusiastic and committed team who are working fervently and passionately towards the launch of Paramount+. There are many exciting opportunities that lie ahead, and I am committed to growing our digital business across 10 Play, 10 Speaks and Paramount+.”

In late 2020, Liz was instrumental in rolling out the 10 Play app, resulting in both seamless viewing for users and sharpening data opportunities for advertisers including its Premium Pause and Curated Carousel products.

Paramount+ will debut in Australia on Wednesday, August 11, priced at AUD$8.99 per month.
