Australian Location Incentive Attracts Three Projects

Ausfilm welcomes three major productions to Australia:The Fall Guy, Wizards! and Ten Pound Poms. These productions have been supported by the Australian Government’s Location Incentive and State Government incentive programs.

THE FALL GUY – UNIVERSAL FILMED ENTERTAINMENT GROUP

Universal Filmed Entertainment Group’s, live-action feature film The Fall Guy will film in Sydney later this year.

Supported by the Australian Government through the Location Incentive program and the NSW Government through Screen NSW’s, Made in NSW Film Fund.

The Fall Guy is based on the popular television series from the ‘80s, which was created by Glen A. Larson and starred Lee Majors as a Hollywood stunt man who, to make ends meet, has a side hustle as a bounty hunter. The production will showcase Sydney’s diverse landscapes and facilities to international audiences.

WIZARDS! – PLAN B/SEE-SAW FILMS

Wizards!, a production from Plan B and See-Saw Films has been attracted to Australia through the Australian Government’s Location Incentive Program. It is the 16th production to be drawn to Queensland by the Location Incentive and the Queensland Government’s Production Attraction Strategy via Screen Queensland.

Wizards! tells the comedic story of two hapless beach-bar operators who get themselves into trouble when they stumble across stolen loot that they should have just left alone.

TEN POUND POMS – ELEVEN FILM/STAN/BBC

The production will film in New South Wales in mid-2022 following a commitment in funding under the Australian Government’s Location Incentive program, with additional support through the NSW Government through Screen NSW’s, Made in NSW Film Fund.

The television series, Ten Pound Poms, is a drama about a group of Brits starting new lives in Australia in 1956 and will film in New South Wales in the coming months.

Ten Pound Poms is produced by Eleven Film, the team behind the award-winning Sex Education, for the BBC in association with Stan (Australia).
