Screenwest and BBC Studios Productions Australia have announced that GHOSTS AUSTRALIA, a local adaptation of the critically acclaimed British sitcom, is set to begin production in Western Australia in 2025. The eight-part comedy series will premiere on Paramount+ and Network 10 later in the year.
Set in a haunted country house, GHOSTS AUSTRALIA will feature a new cast of chaotic and unpredictable spirits who reflect the diversity of Australian history. The story follows young couple Kate and Sean as they inherit a sprawling mansion, Ramshead Manor, haunted by a motley collection of neurotic ghosts. As Kate and Sean attempt to transform the mansion into a boutique hotel, their relationship is put to the test by the challenges of love, business, and dealing with their supernatural housemates.

Western Australia as a Filming Destination
Thanks to its breathtaking landscapes, skilled crew, and competitive production incentives, Western Australia has become a popular filming destination. Over the past five years, the number of scripted film and television productions in WA has more than doubled. GHOSTS AUSTRALIA will be filmed in Perth, supported by the Western Australian Production Attraction Incentive.

The UK version of GHOSTS, produced by Monumental Television in association with Them There for BBC One, became the most-watched comedy in 2023. Its finale drew over six million viewers in just seven days. The US version, currently in its fourth season on CBS, continues to be a hit, produced by CBS Studios in association with Lionsgate Television and BBC Studios Los Angeles Productions.
GHOSTS AUSTRALIA will enter production in Western Australia in 2025.
